The Multiple Offender Program is a specialized education course for individuals who have experienced two or more operating while intoxicated (OWI) charges. Participants are encouraged to examine their drinking and driving behavior and attitudes, and to formulate an alternative lifestyle which will improve their ability to operate a vehicle safely. The Multiple Offender Program is not designed as a treatment program. It is intended to benefit the irresponsible drinker who is experiencing continual problems with drinking and driving. Individuals assessed as chemically dependent should not be referred to the program.
According to Wisconsin State Statue, each student is required to bring a concerned other to two designated class sessions and participate in order to be eligible for successful completion of the course. The instructor will discuss this on the first day of class.
You must attend ALL of the class dates and meet all of the state statutory requirements in order to satisfactorily complete the Multiple Offenders Program. Failure to attend will result in an order of revocation.
All classes are held in totally non-smoking locations.
This class meets on the specified dates. There is then a 3 month waiting period, and then a final follow-up session.
Please read the detailed Attendance Policy (PDF).
IMPORTANT MESSAGE: Failure to attend ALL class sessions or being late will result in forfeiture of your entire class fee, and you will be put in non-compliance with the WI Department of Transportation. Please call 608.822.2700 with any questions.
